Family

Our specialist team includes trained mediators and collaborative lawyers. We also have access to knowledge and expertise from both our crime and civil teams, together with the assistance of leading counsel – namely Frances Oldham QC and Lorna Meyer QC who are our door tenants.

Our team prides themselves on being approachable, friendly and sympathetic. They are committed to providing a ‘tailor-made service’ to suit their clients. With thorough preparation and detailed knowledge of the law, they are able to analyse complex and sensitive issues.

Whether by negotiation or by contested hearings they strive to achieve the best for their clients and are appreciative of the emotional issues and financial implications for their clients as a result of the Court process.

They represent parents – including those with learning difficulties, children, guardians, the official solicitor and Local Authorities. They are able to provide skilled advice and representation in all courts from the Family Proceedings Court to the Appeal Courts.

Our clerks are able to assist in providing suitable counsel and ensuring consistency of representation. There are occasions when your chosen counsel may not be available, in those circumstances the clerks will assist in offering a suitable and experience alternative.
